CANNABIS BUSINESS AWARDS HONORS THOSE THAT HELP CHILDREN WITH THE HOPE FOUNDATION AWARD

Cranford Recognized for his “Haleigh’s Hope” Cannabis Strain for Sick Children

(Denver, CO) – The Cannabis Global Initiative (CGI) congratulates client Jason Cranford of the Flowering HOPE Foundation for winning the first ever Hope Foundation Award at the 2014 Cannabis Business Awards ceremony in Denver.

Cranford, founder, operator, chief grower and outspoken patient advocate with the Flowering HOPE Foundation, was recognized for his work on behalf of children suffering from epileptic and other seizures with affordable and effective CBD treatments. His customized strain, “Haleigh’s Hope,” has been administered to more than 200 children in Colorado to date.

More than 400 attended this third annual, standing room only event in which Cranford, and fellow recipient Sierra Riddle, were honored along with over 30 other award winners in the cannabis industry Wednesday night.

“This award was created to recognize people in the cannabis industry who give people hope,” says Chloe Villano, event producer and founder of Clover Leaf, Inc. “Jason and his work are so inspirational that it was only fitting that an entire award category be created in his honor. His love for the children and his dedication to them is saving lives. It’s amazing what love can do.”

Cranford was joined onstage by fellow recipient Sierra Riddle who serves as an advocate for sick children and whose own son, Landon, suffers from leukemia.

“I’m honored to be recognized and to have an entire category created for the work that I do,” said Cranford. “I accept this award on their behalf because their bravery and perseverance humbles and inspires me every single day. This is for them.”
